The poster series uses ancient Chinese pictographic
characters — “文” (Wen), “亚” (Ya), and “美” (Mei) — as its
creative elements. “文” combines oracle bone script with a
humanoid calligraphy brush; “亚” merges character structure
with patterns from Ming and Qing dynasty furniture; “美” is
interpreted through the imagery of five human fingers.
Through these designs, an intrinsic visual resemblance is
discovered, and their combination produces a unique visual
effect and imagery.
